The City Oil- Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) Dubai Desert Challenge promotion was designed as a way of giving back to the two companies’ customers.
Few of those customers’ could be more fitting beneficiaries than Saul Sekanyolya.
A proud owner of a fleet of 12 vehicles plying the Jinja- Kamuli route, Sekanyolya was one of five main winners of the promotion whose fourth draw was conducted at the City Oil Namirembe Road branch yesterday.
He was joined by Rogers Ndekezi, Anne Kantono, Abdallah Tibamendwa and China Nanjing as winners of the all-expense paid trip to Dubai in due March this year .
“To be honest this is a good opportunity for me to board a plane because I had never got such an opportunity,” an ecstatic Sekanyolya who paraded five of his drivers noted.
So far 20 winners, who entered the draw by servicing their cars at City Oil branches, have been confirmed from the draws held since August last year and with two more draws expected.
The final 10 will be determined from two more rounds before the 30 winners, six of those coming from the commuter transport industry make the trip to Dubai in March.
The Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge is an international rally raid race held in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates since 1991. It however involves various categories with the promotion winners expected to take part in the fun events.
